When and where is Long Course Weekend Netherlands?

Long Course Weekend Netherlands – Maastricht takes place from 16 - 18 May in and around Maastricht.

What distances are there for each event?

We offer you the flexibility to choose from different distances for each discipline. Below is an overview of the available distances:

  • Swim: 1.9 kilometers or 3.8 kilometers
  • Bike: 45 km, 90 km, or 180 km
  • Run: 5 km, 10 km, half marathon, or full marathon

In addition, you can choose from the following full options:

  • FULL: 3.8 km swim, 180 km bike, and full marathon
  • HALF: 1.9 km swim, 90 km bike, and half marathon
  • JUNIOR: 1.9 km swim, 45 km bike, and 10 km run (ages 14-17)

This makes the event accessible to participants of all levels and ages!

Is there a kids event?

Yes there is! Long Course Weekend Kinds Run is there for kids between 6 and 11 years old.

How do I know for sure that I am registered?

If everything went well, you should have received a registration confirmation at the email address you provided. Please also check your spam folder. This ticket is sent by 'Eventgoose'. Didn't receive it? You can contact us at [email protected].

Can I register for someone else?

No. For safety & security reasons you must register yourself and bring photo identification so that we can guarantee we are giving the right event number & timing chip to the correct athlete. This avoids mix ups with announcements, emergency contact information on the reverse of the race number, finisherpix, and DBMax timing.

When can I expect the event pack?

Absolutely everything you need to know about the Long Course weekend will be in our event pack. You can get yours at the event. This will include event timings. It is important you read this as details may be different to those on the website. We recommend using the online Event Pack as a guide, as an email will be sent to the address you registered with notifying you of final details and possible amendments.

When will I receive my timingchip and BIB number?

These must be collected at the time of registration upon showing ID and your ticket.

Do I have to participate all three days?

No, you can also enter for just 1 discipline.

How can I change my distance and what are the associated costs?

To change your distance, send an email to [email protected], including your name, previous distance, and desired distance.

  • Until March 31: changing to a shorter distance is free, but for a longer distance, you will need to pay the difference in cost.
  • After March 31: there is a €10 administration fee for any change, plus the cost difference for a longer distance.

Can I change my name and how do I do it?

Until March 31, it is possible to change your name by sending an email to [email protected].
After March 31, it is still possible, but only in person at the infodesk during the event, and an administrative fee of €10 will be charged.

For name changes requested before March 31, you must always include the following information about the new participant:

  • First and last name
  • Email address
  • Mobile phone number
  • Date of birth
  • Gender
  • Nationality
  • Address
  • Emergency contact details: name, relationship, and mobile phone number

After March 31, you must first collect the race number of the previous participant, and then proceed to the infodesk to request the name change.

Why is it cheaper to enter the three events separately rather than entering the Full Long Course Weekend?

If you enter the three events separately, you will receive a finisher's medal for each event (3 medals total). If you commit to the Full Long Course Weekend, You will receive not only the finisher's medals for the three separate events, but also a LCW finishers giveaway and Goodie Bag as well as the coveted fourth medal (if you finish all distances within the cut-off). not only this, but you will also get the opportunity to be a part of the awe-inspiring LCW fourth medal ceremony. 

Is a wetsuit mandatory?

This will depend on the temperature of the water on the day. If possible, you can swim without a wetsuit.

When will we receive all the practical information?

Around May 1st 2025, you will receive an email with all the information and practical details about your registration.

What are the cut-off times?

For the swimming events:

  • 3800m: 2h15
  • 1900m: 1h40

For the cycling events:

  • 180 km: 9h
  • 90 km: 8h
  • 45 km: 3h

For the running events:

  • Marathon: 5h30
  • Half marathon: 3h30
  • 10 km: 1h30
  • 5 km: 1h00

Do you get a medal for each race and distance?

Yes, for each discipline and distance you will receive a medal at the finish. Even children will receive one during the children's race.
